Air Methods, the leader in the air medical industry, is seeking an exceptional Rotor Wing Pilot to join our team in Woodbine, NJ. Operating the EC145 (VFR) aircraft, you will provide critical EMS air medical transport to communities 24/7, 365 days a year.
In this role, you will ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to safely transport medical crew and patients to receiving hospitals. You will conduct detailed flight planning with little notice, complete pre-flight inspections, and maintain compliance with FAR, AIM, and GOM guidelines.

Requirements
- Must be thoroughly familiar with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft utilized at operational area.
- Able to conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
- Responsible for compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR), Aeronautical Information Manual (AIM), and General Operations Manual guidelines (GOM).
- Must have thorough knowledge of Air Methods policies and procedures.
- Ability to ensure aircraft and weather conditions are airworthy to transport medical crew and patients.
- Regular scheduled attendance is an essential function of the position.
Responsibilities
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
- Complete pre-flight before every flight, verifying the aircraft is in an airworthy condition by sign off of Daily Flight Log.
- Perform a complete walk around of the aircraft prior to entering the cockpit for flight and upon completion of each flight.
- Serve as final authority with regard to operations of aircraft and for the safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Ensure thorough familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems of backup aircraft utilized at the operational area.
- Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
- Complete required documentation and participate in Air Methods meetings, activities, and community outreach.
