About this role
This role combines Instructor Pilot (IP) and Functional Check Flight (FCF) duties on the MH-60R Seahawk helicopter. You will perform instructional and test flights to measure and demonstrate aircraft proficiency after maintenance or modification, while also providing pilot training and proficiency.
Day-to-day responsibilities include piloting and navigating the MH-60R, assisting RSNF designated FCF pilots with all portions of maintenance functional check flights, and coordinating with maintenance contractors for in-flight troubleshooting and verification of repairs. You will conduct ground and flight checks to ensure aircraft readiness.
You will guide and assist in managing an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program in compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, SOPs, and local directives. This position requires close collaboration with maintenance teams and adherence to strict safety and operational standards.
This is an opportunity to apply your advanced MH-60R instructor and test pilot expertise in a mission-critical environment supporting Royal Saudi Naval Forces aviation. The role offers the chance to mentor other pilots while ensuring the highest levels of aircraft airworthiness.
Requirements
- Designation as a Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC)
- Must have MH-60R Instructor Pilot (IP) experience
- Past designation as a MH-60R Instructor and Functional Check Flight Pilot is required
- Able to perform all duties independently
- A minimum of 550 total flight hours, 50 Helicopter Aircraft Commander (HAC) hours in the MH-60R, and 100 hours of MH-60R FCF/Maintenance test is required
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret Clearance
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance
Responsibilities
- Pilot and navigate the flight for the MH-60R helicopter
- Provide pilot training and proficiency as an Instructor Pilot (IP)
- Assist RSNF designated FCF Pilots with all portions of maintenance functional check flights, including preflight briefing, preflight, flight checks, post flight, and all required FCF documentation
- Coordinate with maintenance contractors for in-flight troubleshooting discrepancies and verifications of maintenance actions or repairs by conducting ground and flight checks
- Guide and assist in managing an approved MH-60R Flight Operations Program in compliance with Navy flight manuals, instructions, directives, SOPs, and local directives
