As the leader in air medical transport, Air Methods is seeking a Rotor Wing Pilot to serve communities from Crawfordville, Florida. Operating a Bell 407 under VFR, this role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus while providing life-saving emergency medical flights.
Based on Florida's Forgotten Coast, you'll enjoy world-class boating, fishing, and wildlife near Wakulla Springs and the Gulf. With Tallahassee just a short drive away, the area blends small-town charm with outdoor adventure.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure safe, airworthy aircraft conditions for transporting medical crew and patients. You will conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, plan flights under tight schedules, and maintain compliance with FAA regulations and Air Methods policies.

Requirements
- Valid FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Rotorcraft-Helicopter Rating.
- Current FAA Instrument Rating for Helicopter.
- Valid FAA Second-Class Medical Certificate.
- Thorough knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations, Aeronautical Information Manual, and General Operations Manual guidelines.
- Ability to work a 7-days-on/7-days-off schedule with 12-hour shifts.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety in all flight operations.
Responsibilities
- Operate Air Methods aircraft in a safe and legal manner.
- Complete pre-flight inspections and daily flight logs to verify aircraft airworthiness.
- Perform thorough walk-around checks before and after each flight.
- Act as final authority for aircraft operations and safety of passengers, cargo, and equipment.
- Ensure familiarity with all aircraft and medical systems, including backup aircraft used at the operational area.
- Conduct detailed flight planning with little notice to exacting standards.
- Participate in company meetings, community outreach, and safety initiatives.
