About this role

Blackcomb Helicopters, a division of Summit Helicopters, seeks an experienced EC135 Pilot for a multi-season project based out of Inuvik, N.W.T. This annual project runs from May to early September with equal time rotations. For over 35 years, the company has led helicopter operations in Western Canada.

Pilots fly in a safe, professional manner per regulations, company manuals, and policies while taking full responsibility for aircraft, crew, and occupants. They handle paperwork accurately and track flight hours, days worked, and CARs requirements diligently. Additional duties support ongoing project needs.

Requirements

  • Valid Canadian Commercial Pilot’s License and medical certificate
  • Minimum 2000 hours rotary flight time
  • 500+ hours on multi-engine helicopter (asset)
  • 100+ hours on EC135 (asset)
  • Accident and incident free for the last five consecutive years
  • Group IV instrument rating required
  • Safety driven and committed, putting safety above everything else
  • Legally entitled to work in Canada and travel to the United States for bi-annual training

Responsibilities

  • Fly the aircraft in a safe and professional manner to a high standard in accordance with regulations, company manuals, and policies
  • Take full responsibility for the safety of the aircraft, crew, and its occupants
  • Fill out and submit paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
  • Track and monitor flight hours, days worked, days off, and requirements set in CARs and the Blackcomb Helicopters Operations Manual
  • Perform other duties required by the company from time to time
