As a First Officer, you support the Captain in ensuring the safe, secure, and efficient operation of every flight. You demonstrate professionalism, technical skill, and strong teamwork while developing leadership for future command. You maintain high standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance.

You assist the Captain in all aspects of flight preparation, navigation, and operation, complying with Etihad’s procedures and regulatory standards. Maintain a continuous and independent check of aircraft position, terrain, and weather for safe navigation. Provide clear communication, advice, and support for efficient decision-making.

In the event of Captain incapacitation, assume command per rank and company procedures. Etihad provides a competitive tax-free package with basic salary, flying pay, housing allowance, and more, up to AED 513,732 per year based on 75 flying hours monthly. Requirements

Minimum 2,500 hours total flying time and 1,500 hours on multi-crew, glass cockpit MPA (Criteria A)
Minimum 1,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft (Criteria A)
Minimum 3,000 hours total flying time and 2,000 hours on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft (Criteria B)
Flown any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft within the last 12 months
Type rating on any Airbus Wide Body FBW or Boeing Wide body aircraft valid for at least 2 more months at joining
Unrestricted ATPL or valid frozen ATPL issued by an ICAO member state
Unrestricted, current Class 1 medical
English language fluency (written and verbal) – ICAO Level 4 or better; must not have attained age of 50 on joining day

Responsibilities

Assist the Captain in all aspects of flight preparation, navigation, and operation, ensuring compliance with Etihad’s operating procedures and regulatory standards
Maintain a continuous and independent check of aircraft position, terrain, and weather to support safe navigation at all times
Provide clear communication, advice, and support to the Captain to contribute to safe and efficient decision-making
Uphold high standards of discipline, conduct, and personal appearance, representing Etihad professionally
Assume command in the event of Captain incapacitation, in accordance with rank and company procedures
