As First Officer, the Second in Command, perform specific responsibilities relating to operating the aircraft to which assigned, A321 or A330. Assist in flight planning and other preparations for flight. Carry out duties assigned by the Captain and other tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures.

Requirements

  • Hold an updated certified logbook
  • Hold a valid Transport Canada ATPL or Commercial Pilot License with IATRA or SAMRA/SARON exams written
  • Thorough knowledge of Canadian aviation regulations (CARs)
  • Hold a medical certificate of category class 1
  • Hold Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident status
  • No restrictions to travel in the United States or other countries served by Air Transat
  • Aviation college diploma, an asset

Responsibilities

  • Perform specific responsibilities relating to operating the A321 or A330 aircraft
  • Assist in flight planning and other preparations for flight
  • Carry out duties assigned by the Captain
  • Execute tasks as per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Monitor flight instruments and parameters during operations
  • Handle radio communications with air traffic control
  • Assist in navigation and fuel management
  • Conduct pre-flight and post-flight aircraft checks
