They work in fast-paced environments, handling situations and personalities attentively and pleasantly. Flight attendants attend preflight briefings to review weather, routes, emergencies, and services, then prepare the cabin for boarding. They greet guests warmly, assist with seating and luggage, demonstrate safety equipment, and monitor compliance. Throughout the flight, they deliver consistent service and respond promptly to inquiries and requests.

Flight attendants complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain emergency procedure knowledge per regulations. They obtain authorization for unescorted aircraft and SIDA access. In emergencies, they assist ill passengers, evacuate in smoke, and operate oxygen bottles and fire extinguishers.

Requirements

  • Physically and psychologically capable of performing safety procedures and assisting in emergencies
  • Able to handle fast-paced environments and deal with all types of personalities attentively
  • Japanese language qualified
  • Capable of evacuating aircraft in heavy smoke during cabin fire
  • Able to access, handle, and operate oxygen bottles, fire extinguishers, and emergency equipment
  • Able to assist ill or incapacitated passengers and crew members
  • Able to work varied schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Must obtain and maintain authorization for unescorted access to aircraft and SIDA areas

Responsibilities

  • Attend preflight briefings to review flight details, emergency procedures, crew coordination, and onboard services
  • Greet guests warmly, direct to seats, assist with carry-on luggage, and provide courteous service
  • Demonstrate safety equipment including seat belts, oxygen masks, and life jackets; monitor compliance
  • Direct guests during emergency procedures, administer first aid, and complete incident reports
  • Provide food and beverage service, collect payments for purchases including meals and duty-free items
  • Prepare cabin and guests for landing, ensure security, and assist with deplaning
  • Complete annual FAA-approved re-certification and maintain regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with crew to deliver Aloha experience and handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints
