Canadian Helicopters seeks Captains and First Officers on the S76 to support air ambulance operations. The company has operated since 1947 as Canada's largest helicopter provider with nearly 100 aircraft across more than 20 bases.

Captains act as pilot-in-command on IFR flights in challenging and rapidly changing conditions. They respond to tasking while coordinating closely with dispatch and maintaining strict safety standards throughout each mission.

First Officers support flight operations under company standards and assist with all duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager. Both roles operate from a Halifax base on a shift schedule without touring requirements.

Requirements

Must be willing to relocate to Halifax, Nova Scotia
Valid Canadian passport or authorization to work in Canada and travel to USA
Valid Class 1 Medical
Ability to successfully complete the Controlled Goods Security assessment application for NVG purposes
Immunization records with required vaccinations are mandatory
Valid and unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL(H) License for Captain role
Minimum 2000 hours rotary wing flight time and 500 hours PIC including 200 multi-engine for Captain
Valid ATPL or ATPL written exams within previous 12 months and Commercial Rotary-wing License for First Officer

Responsibilities

Act as Captain as per Company operation standards
Perform IFR Flights in challenging and rapidly changing environment
Respond efficiently to aircraft tasking while maintaining a high level of safety
Coordinate and communicate effectively between crew and dispatch
Complete all duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager
Act as pilot as per Company operation standards
