About this role
Canadian Helicopters, Canada's largest helicopter operator since 1947, is seeking a Captain and First Officer for the S76 in support of our Air Ambulance Operations in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This elite crew role offers an exciting career path within a dynamic and rapidly changing environment.
As a Captain, you will act per company operation standards, performing IFR flights in challenging conditions while maintaining a high level of safety. First Officers support the Captain, ensuring efficient aircraft tasking and effective coordination between crew and dispatch.
You will work closely with our customer and be part of a growing team of passionate, committed professionals. The role demands customer focus, a positive attitude, and the ability to respond efficiently to tasking while upholding safety standards.

Requirements
- Must be willing to relocate to Halifax, Nova Scotia
- Valid Canadian passport or authorization to work in Canada and travel to USA (no sponsorship available)
- Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical
- Ability to successfully complete Controlled Goods Security assessment for NVG purposes
- Immunization records with required vaccinations
- Captain: Valid and unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL(H) license, minimum 2000 hours rotary wing time, 500 hours PIC including 200 hours multi-engine, and 2 years IFR experience with actual IFR hours as PIC
- First Officer: Valid ATPL or passed ATPL written exams within past 12 months, Commercial Rotary-wing License, 500 hours rotary-wing time, Transport Canada Group IV Instrument rating, and unrestricted Night Rating
Responsibilities
- Act as Captain or First Officer per Company operation standards
- Perform IFR flights in challenging and rapidly changing environments
- Work closely with the customer, responding efficiently to aircraft tasking while maintaining a high level of safety
- Coordinate and communicate effectively between crew and dispatch
- Conduct pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft readiness for air ambulance missions
- Manage flight planning, navigation, and weather assessment for each mission
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager
