About this role
Canadian Helicopters is Canada's largest helicopter operator with over 20 locations and a fleet of nearly 100 single and multi-engine aircraft. The company seeks Captains and First Officers on the S76 to support Air Ambulance Operations based in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Captains act as pilot-in-command on IFR flights in challenging and rapidly changing conditions while responding efficiently to aircraft tasking. They maintain coordination and effective communication between crew and dispatch while upholding company operation standards and a high level of safety.
First Officers support flight operations as required under company standards. Both roles operate on a shift schedule from the Halifax base with direct customer interaction in a 703 Air Ambulance environment.

Requirements
- Valid and unrestricted Transport Canada ATPL(H) License for Captain or Commercial Rotary-wing License for First Officer
- Minimum 2000 hours rotary wing flight time and 500 hours PIC including 200 hours multi-engine for Captain
- Minimum 2 years Instrument Flight Operations experience with actual IFR flight hours as PIC for Captain
- Transport Canada Group IV Instrument rating and unrestricted Night Rating for First Officer
- Valid Class 1 Medical and willingness to relocate to Halifax, Nova Scotia
- Valid Canadian passport or authorization to work in Canada and travel to USA
- Ability to complete Controlled Goods Security assessment for NVG purposes
- Immunization records with required vaccinations
Responsibilities
- Act as Captain as per Company operation standards
- Perform IFR Flights in challenging and rapidly changing environment
- Respond efficiently to aircraft tasking while maintaining a high level of safety
- Coordinate and communicate effectively between crew and dispatch
- Complete all duties assigned by the Chief Pilot or Base Manager
- Act as pilot as per Company operation standards
