About this role

The Co-Pilot serves as a trusted member of Southern Multifoods Inc, ensuring the responsible, safe, legal, and efficient operation of each flight assignment. The company operates under FAR 91 flight rules on a 2012 Cessna Citation XLS+ aircraft. It provides private corporate travel upon request of company officers with challenging destinations.

Performs all flight assignments according to federal regulations for safe operations. Consults with the Chief Pilot when canceling, delaying, or modifying flights. Serves as Co-Pilot responsible for passenger safety and monitors flight time and rest requirements.

Reports to Chief Pilot and General Counsel in the Restaurant Support Center department. Joins a family-owned Taco Bell franchisee team focused on flight safety and creating an environment where people love to work. Maintains aircraft records and hangar facilities with the Chief Pilot.

Exhibits advanced aviation skills, sound decision making, and flexibility with varying schedules. Company willing to train for Citation CE560XL type rating for the right applicant. Must reside or relocate to the Jacksonville, Texas area.

Requirements

  • 2,000 Total Time
  • 500 Multi-Engine Time
  • 250 Jet / Turbine Time
  • Second Class Medical
  • Valid Unrestricted US Passport
  • Airline Transport Rating or the ATP Written
  • Necessary type ratings for any aircraft owned by the Company
  • Remain current with federal and state flight regulations

Responsibilities

  • Perform all flight assignments according to federal regulations to ensure safe and legal flight operations
  • Consult with the Chief Pilot when canceling, delaying, modifying, or discontinuing a flight when conditions dictate
  • Serve as Co-Pilot during flight operations and be responsible for the safety of all passengers
  • Monitor flight time and rest time for all flight assignments
  • Ensure all pre-flight checklists are completed
  • Work together with the Chief Pilot to maintain the safe keeping of all aircraft flight books and records
  • Maintain the security and cleanliness of the aircraft hangar facilities
