About this role
Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety, and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until final destination. Flight Attendants represent Allegiant Air to the public on the front lines.
They accurately account for passengers and goods served, while promoting sales of Allegiant products and industry partner services. All responsibilities follow government regulations including FAA and TSA, as taught in training and ongoing performance. Day-to-day duties include security checks, safety briefings, and passenger assistance.
Flight Attendants work as part of a team, communicating with diplomacy across cultures under pressure. They assess situations promptly, exercise good judgment, and respond calmly in emergencies. Punctuality, reliable attendance, and a professional image per the Uniform Style Guide are essential.
Training spans a minimum of 4 1/2 weeks in Las Vegas with shared hotel rooms. Relocation to the domicile after training is at applicant expense if required. Previous customer service builds foundation for this role, with flight attendant experience preferred.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Minimum one year of direct customer service
- Minimum of 21 years of age
- Authorized to work in the US per Immigration Act of 1986
- Pass a criminal background check
- Attend minimum 4 1/2 weeks training in Las Vegas and share hotel room with classmate
- Ability to walk comfortably facing forward down aircraft aisle and fit through overwing exits
- Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure safety and interact with customers
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers, and carry-on baggage
- Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
- Ensure customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly per safety regulations
- Take action during unusual conditions like decompression, turbulence, or emergencies to maximize safety
- Assess and evaluate customers for intoxication and possible threat
- Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and goods
- Provide direction and assistance to customers per government regulations and company policies
- Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and partners
