About this role
The Co-Pilot serves as a trusted member of Southern Multifoods Inc., ensuring the responsible, safe, legal, and efficient operation of each flight assignment. The role operates under FAR 91 flight rules, providing private corporate travel for company officers on the 2012 Cessna Citation XLS+ aircraft. Flights feature challenging destinations and an exciting mix of mission profiles.
Daily responsibilities include performing all flight assignments according to federal regulations for safe operations. The Co-Pilot consults with the Chief Pilot when canceling, delaying, or modifying flights based on conditions. Monitors flight time, rest time, and completes all pre-flight checklists.

Work with a great team focused on providing flight safety for all company members. Reports to the Chief Pilot and General Counsel in the Restaurant Support Center.
The ideal candidate exhibits advanced aviation skills, high level of confidentiality, excellent interpersonal skills, sound decision making, and flexibility with a varying schedule. Must remain current with federal and state flight regulations and possess necessary type ratings for company aircraft. Reside or relocate to the Jacksonville, Texas area.
Requirements
- 2,000 Total Time
- 500 Multi-Engine Time
- 250 Jet / Turbine Time
- Second Class Medical
- Valid Unrestricted US Passport
- Airline Transport Rating or the ATP Written
- Citation CE560XL Type rating preferred, willing to train for the right applicant
- 50 hours of Citation XL, XLS or XLS+ experience
Responsibilities
- Perform all flight assignments according to federal regulations to ensure safe and legal flight operations
- Consult with the Chief Pilot when canceling, delaying, modifying, or discontinuing a flight when conditions dictate
- Serve as Co-Pilot during flight operations and be responsible for the safety of all passengers
- Monitor flight time and rest time for all flight assignments
- Ensure all pre-flight checklists are completed
- Work together with the Chief Pilot to maintain the safe keeping of all aircraft flight books and records
- Maintain the security and cleanliness of the aircraft hangar facilities
