About this role

Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until final destination. Flight Attendants represent the airline on the front lines while performing duties per FAA and TSA regulations.

Flight Attendants conduct pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage. They perform pre-flight safety checks and ensure passengers are seated with baggage stored properly. In unusual conditions like turbulence or emergencies, they take action to maximize safety.

Team Members serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages while promoting products from Allegiant and partners. They provide direction and assistance per government regulations and company policies. Accurate accounting for passengers supports smooth business operations.

Candidates attend 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas, sharing a hotel room with a classmate. Relocation to domicile is at applicant expense if required. Personal characteristics include good judgment, calm emergency response and professional appearance.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one year of direct customer service
  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • Authorized to work in the US per Immigration Act of 1986
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Ability to walk comfortably facing forward down an aircraft aisle
  • Capability to maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits
  • Ability to fit into jump seat harness without modification

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
  • Ensure customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
  • Advise passengers and confirm compliance with safety regulations and procedures
  • Take action during unusual conditions to maximize safety of customers and crew
  • Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and partners
  • Provide direction and assistance to customers per regulations and policies
