About this role

Allegiant Air Flight Attendants provide extraordinary service to Customers and fellow Team Members. They are essential workers responsible for the security, safety and comfort of customers from pre-boarding the aircraft until final destination. Flight Attendants represent Allegiant Air on the front lines while contributing to business operations.

Flight Attendants perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage. They conduct pre-flight safety checks and ensure passengers comply with safety regulations during routine and unusual conditions like turbulence or emergencies. They also serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Flight Attendants work as part of a team under pressure, assessing situations promptly with good judgment. They interact with people from all walks of life using diplomacy and tact while maintaining a professional image per the Uniform Style Guide. Punctuality and reliable attendance are essential.

Positions follow government regulations including FAA and TSA standards articulated in training and ongoing performance. Applicants attend 4 1/2 weeks of training in Las Vegas, sharing a hotel room. Relocation to domicile after training is at applicant expense.

Requirements

  • Minimum 21 years of age
  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Minimum one (1) year of direct customer service
  • Authorized to work in the US per Immigration Act of 1986
  • Pass a Criminal Background Check
  • Ability to fit into a jump seat harness without modification or extension
  • Capability to rapidly maneuver and fit through aircraft overwing exits
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to receive instructions and interact with customers

Responsibilities

  • Perform pre-boarding security checks of aircraft, customers and carry-on baggage
  • Conduct pre-flight safety checks of cabin area
  • Ensure customers are seated and carry-on baggage is stored properly
  • Provide direction and assistance to customers in accordance with government regulations and company policies
  • Assess and evaluate customers for appearance of intoxication and/or possible threat
  • Take action to maximize safety during unusual conditions such as decompression, turbulence or medical emergencies
  • Serve and sell food, snacks, alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Promote the sale and usage of products and services offered by Allegiant and industry partners
