About this role
Hendrick Motorsports, a leading NASCAR Motorsports operation, is currently seeking an experienced, highly motivated Helicopter Pilot. The candidate should have extensive knowledge of pilot and flight operations, FAA regulations, operations specifications, aircraft flight manuals and other technical data appropriate to aircraft operations.
The ideal candidate would have experience in planning and managing the safe operation of flights in accordance with aircraft and weather limitations. Ensuring aircraft is pre-flighted, inspected, loaded and equipped properly. Ensuring compliance and adaptation with the demands of a flexible flight schedule when necessary.
Position requires strong communication, flexible work schedule, the ability to travel and conducting oneself in a professional and respectful manner that personifies our company’s values. The candidate will be responsible for developing and planning flight plans, performing pre-flight inspections, reporting on usage and conditions of the aircraft after each flight.
Coordinating and communicating aircraft operations with maintenance personnel and assisting maintenance personnel with maintenance runs and other issues of the aircraft. Demonstrated ability to independently take initiative and accountability for the accuracy of information and for achieving results in the area of safety and procedural compliance.
Requirements
- 2500 hours Helicopter flight experience
- 1500 hours Pilot in Command flight experience
- Certified ATP Helicopter Pilot or Commercial Helicopter Pilot with Instrument rating
- Bell 429 or equivalent Multi-Engine Helicopter experience
- Current Class 1 Medical Certification
- Current and proficient IFR
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Strong oral and written communication skills and customer focused
Responsibilities
- Plan and manage the safe operation of flights in accordance with aircraft and weather limitations
- Perform pre-flight inspections and ensure aircraft is inspected, loaded and equipped properly
- Develop and plan flight plans
- Report on usage and conditions of the aircraft after each flight
- Coordinate and communicate aircraft operations with maintenance personnel
- Assist maintenance personnel with maintenance runs and other aircraft issues
- Ensure compliance and adaptation with the demands of a flexible flight schedule
