About this role
Amentum is currently accepting applications for Helicopter Pilot (Instructor) at Fort Rucker, Alabama. Selected applicants will provide instruction in the UH-72. Military aviation experience or UH-72 qualification is not required.

Safety remains paramount in every aspect of Rotary Wing Flight Training culture. They conduct flight instruction across more than 40,000 square miles within the National Airspace System.
Since 1989, Amentum has trained over 1200 students per year with a workforce of 400+ employees. Providing classroom academic instruction and hands-on flight training to nearly 500 students daily, their instructor skill is unmatched. They have instilled knowledge, skills, and abilities in nearly 30,000 pilots.

Requirements
- FAA commercial pilot certificate and flight instructor certificate with rotorcraft category, helicopter class, and instrument helicopter ratings
- Total flight time of 1500 hours as pilot-in-command or second-in-command
- 100 hours of hooded instrument, flight simulator instrument, or weather pilot time
- Experience instructing students in instrument flight training
- 75 hours of night flying
- 500 hours of instructor time
- Current FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
Responsibilities
