First Officers plan flights using weather reports, Company policies, and FARs. They maintain thorough knowledge of equipment, manuals, and procedures. Pre- and post-flight inspections confirm aircraft airworthiness.

Pilots employ CRM with Assertiveness with Respect alongside Team Members. They assist with aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo handling when needed. All observe Rules of Conduct from the Team Member and Pilot Playbooks.

First Officers assess risks and use resources to maintain safety in all operations. They develop technically for transition to PIC. Pursuit of excellence drives professional growth.

Requirements

  • At least 23 years old at time of hire
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate with multi-engine and instrument ratings
  • Current ATP Written completed if FAA ATP not held
  • 1,500+ hours total time excluding simulator and Flight Engineer time
  • 500+ hours fixed wing turbine time
  • 750 hours fixed wing time
  • 500 hours cross country
  • 250 hours fixed wing PIC, 100 hours night, 75 hours instrument, 50 hours actual multi-engine flying

Responsibilities

  • Maintain thorough working knowledge of equipment, Federal Aviation Regulations, Company manuals, Operations Specifications, policies, and instructions
  • Plan flights in accordance with weather information, Company policies, and FARs
  • Ensure qualified for assigned flight including flight and duty time, training, proficiency checks, and medical certificate
  • Perform duties assigned by the Captain in flight
  • Assess risk and use resources to keep it acceptable during ground and flight operations
  • Employ CRM concept of Assertiveness with Respect
  • Complete pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness
  • Assist with handling aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminals
