TC Energy is currently hiring a permanent Pilot to support our operations across the USA, based in Charleston WV. Play a critical role in delivering essential services to support TC Energy’s infrastructure.

As a key member of our flight operations team, you’ll provide aerial support for pipeline patrols and personal transport. Act as Pilot in Command as directed by the Base Manager or Chief Pilot. Work with skilled professionals in dynamic environments.

Be responsible for the operation and safety of the helicopter, and for the safety and security of all persons involved during flight operations. Provide liaison with TC Energy’s lines of business in determining the flight operation of the helicopter. Deliver safety briefings including instruction on aircraft safety equipment.

Conduct thorough preflight planning for each day’s patrol schedule. Oversee safe configuration of aircraft adhering to up-weight load limits and proper cargo securement. Participate in the Company’s Safety Management system by reporting hazards and incidents.

Requirements

  • High School Education
  • Valid Class 2 Aviation Medical Certificate
  • Valid Commercial (or higher) pilot certificate
  • Minimum of 3000 flight hours
  • Experience acting as Pilot in Command on helicopters
  • Knowledge of preflight planning and aircraft configuration for patrols
  • Familiarity with safety management systems and hazard reporting

Responsibilities

  • Deliver safety briefings on aircraft safety and survival equipment use
  • Conduct thorough preflight planning for each day’s patrol schedule
  • Oversee safe aircraft configuration including adherence to weight limits and cargo securement
  • Perform administrative tasks such as recording flight duty times and managing documents
