About this role

Amentum seeks a First Officer/Co-Pilot to serve as Pilot Second in Command (SIC) of B737-600NG aircraft in Las Vegas, NV. Transport passengers and cargo while assisting the Pilot in Command (PIC), taking over if incapacitated. Prioritize safety of passengers, crew, cargo, and aircraft throughout operations.

Manipulate aircraft controls as pilot flying (PF) and perform duties as pilot monitoring (PM) during flights. Review maintenance logs, planned route, weather reports, forecasts, NOTAMs, and pilot information files (PIFs) prior to each flight. Comply with all applicable regulations, policies, and Air Traffic Control (ATC) directives.

Work primarily in the cockpit of a jet aircraft, a small cramped space with high noise levels, extreme temperatures, and low humidity. Face physical and mental stress from in-flight emergencies, inclement weather, turbulence, and sensory overload. Role involves sedentary work with walking, bending, climbing, and control manipulation from a seated position.

Maintain familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs), Airman’s Information Manual (AIM), aircraft FCOM, FCTM, QRH, Customer’s SPM, and Company’s FOM. Compute aircraft weight/balance and takeoff/landing data accurately. Contribute to the company’s safety culture and quality policy focused on customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • US DOD TS/SCI security clearance
  • Current US DHS/TSA LAS airport badge
  • Current US state-issued Driver’s License
  • Compliance with US DOT 14 CFR Parts 60, 61, 67, 117, 120, and 121 including age 65 limit
  • 1,500 total in-seat hours as crewmember in fixed-wing powered aircraft
  • Current US DOT/FAA First Class Medical Certificate (with EKG if more than 39 years old)
  • US DOT/FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate with B737 Type rating and no restrictions
  • Maintain training and checking currency per Company policy and 14 CFR Part 121

Responsibilities
