Johnson & Johnson Aviation seeks a Dual-Qualified Helicopter Captain/Airplane Pilot for the West Trenton, NJ facility at Trenton/Mercer Airport. Experienced ATP helicopter pilots holding commercial airplane certificates with multi-engine, instrument ratings, and turbine experience are ideal candidates. This unique role combines helicopter captain duties with airplane pilot operations.

Operate state-of-the-art helicopters in the BOS-NYC-DC corridor while supporting executives and flying ultra-long-range airplanes worldwide. Ensure safe, legal, and efficient aircraft operations in compliance with federal regulations and company standards. Manage flight crews and complete all pre- and post-flight responsibilities away from base.

Requirements

  • Hold an Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) Certificate, Rotorcraft
  • Type rated in the appropriate aircraft
  • Hold Commercial Airplane certificate with multi-engine rating
  • Hold instrument ratings on Airplane certificate
  • Turbine experience
  • Experience as ATP helicopter pilot
  • Ability to manage flight crew and direct SIC activities

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe, consistent, legal, and efficient operation of company aircraft in compliance with federal regulations and company policies
  • Manage the flight crew when away from home base
  • Direct the activities of the SIC and ensure flight crew members understand their duties
  • Participate in the Safety Management System
  • Inspect the aircraft’s interior for cleanliness and proper supplies before flight
  • Accept the aircraft with signature in the logbook when ready for flight
  • Operate the aircraft within limitations and complete all postflight duties
  • Record flight times, aircraft defects, and notify of itinerary deviations
