Breeze Airways Lear 45 First Officers ensure safe and timely flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations. They operate assigned flights after determining aircraft airworthiness and reviewing weather, field conditions, and navigational aids. They maintain a high degree of proficiency in flight operations, procedures, and systems.

First Officers conduct pre- and post-flight inspections, plan and fuel flights properly, and assist with handling aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo. They notify crew and passengers of turbulence or adverse conditions promptly. They assess risk and use resources to maintain acceptable levels during all operations.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 23 years old at the time of hire
  • Must have 1,000+ hours total time (not including simulator and/or Flight Engineer time)
  • Fixed Wing PIC: 500 hours
  • Multi-Engine: 25 hours
  • Instrument: 50 hours
  • Cross Country: 100 hours
  • FAA Commercial or Airline Transport Certificate with airplane multi-engine class rating
  • FAA Instrument Rating

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the safe and timely completion of flight operations in accordance with all Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs)
  • Operate assigned flights after determining the airworthiness of the aircraft and reviewing weather, field conditions, navigational aids
  • Operate the aircraft during the designated period of duty unless relieved by Company authority
  • Maintain a high degree of proficiency and thorough knowledge of flight operations, procedures, and systems applicable to the aircraft flown
  • Complete appropriate pre- and post-flight inspections to ensure the airworthy condition of assigned aircraft
  • Become familiar with existing and forecast departure, arrival, and alternate station weather prior to each flight
  • Ensure that the flight is planned and fueled properly for safe conduct in accordance with current policies and regulations
  • Assist with and ensure proper handling of aircraft, passengers, baggage, and cargo at terminal points where other personnel are not available
